Total Roblox Drama, also often called Total Drama Roblox, is an adaptation of the Total Drama series which makes it into an interactive game on Roblox. It's main developer is Mojoue. Players play as a contestant of their choice and compete in challenges. Only one can win the grand prize. The process of player elimination and game resetting is fully automated, unlike the show itself, meaning it can be played over and over.

Total Roblox Drama is incredibly popular with both fans and non-fans of the series. As of October 2023, it has been favorited by over 746k players and played over 329 million times. The game brought in a new generation of fans who otherwise wouldn't have any interest in the series, reviving interest to it before the release of Total Drama: Island (2023). Due to Roblox's age requirement only being nine years old, and the age demographic of Roblox overall leaning younger, the vast majority of these new fans are around 11-16. These fans may be called newgens on TikTok and shamed by other fans for learning of Total Drama through this game^[1].

Like with anything that brings in new fans, this resurgence is contested within the fandom at large. Although many are welcoming to new fans, others preferred the smaller community for the series, which leaned older due to how long the series had been off the air by that point.

Total Roblox Drama's playerbase itself is vast and largely unmoderated, owing to its small development team consisting mainly of one person. Players are often "eliminated" for superficial reasons, such as their accents, sex and the contestant they play as by others. On voice chat, Roblox's built in filter system can't be used, and anything can and has been said on voice chat. Although the game advertises itself as unwelcoming to harassment, problematic players are a consistent issue and may not be banned until they've harassed many, many other players. These problematic players are often not Total Drama fans themselves^[2][3].

Influence on Total Drama Fanon

Because Total Roblox Drama is unaffiliated with Fresh TV, Teletoon and Cartoon Network, there are no assets lifted straight from the series within the game. This includes character names. Every contestant available to play as has a unique name. On TikTok, it's common to see the characters referred to by these names outside of Roblox on Total Drama posts.

Most Total Drama Roblox players believe it is harder to win while playing as certain contestants over others. Because Total Drama Roblox players aren't necessarily fans of the TV series itself, this popularity is often dictated by appearance rather than their personalities on the show.

Specifically playing as Stacy (Sadie) is considered difficult. Long time players may compete as her to challenge themselves, not because they like the character.
